If you know me, you know I love my iPhone.

Random thought: Since I named this post, this song has been running through my head. Remember the My Buddy and Kid Sister dolls? In case, you need a reminder here you go.

Now just replace my buddy with my iPhone and let that ring through your head as I write this post.

My iPhone goes with me wherever I go. My face is buried in that thing, probably too much. I used to think that b/c I love my iPhone everyone in the world needed one. Since I have been working in the cell phone industry lately, I have noticed one thing. The iPhone is not for everyone. In fact, for some people the iPhone could be the worst thing for them.

I love my iPhone b/c I use the features on the iPhone (app store, iTunes, full browser, pinch and push technology). It confuses the heck out of some people. They just want a phone with big buttons. Now, I just find out what people want out of their phone and find the best one for their needs.

Their is a leadership lesson to be learned from this example. One of the hardest things for me to grasp was that everyone does not see the world the way I do. Everyone does not think the way I think, see things the way I see them or learn the way I learn.

Just because my iPhone is the best phone in my mind, doesn’t mean it is for others. Just b/c my idea is the best idea in my mind, doesn’t mean it is for others. I used to fight for my ideas like there was a battle of my idea or failure. I’ve learned that is not the case at all. My idea is best when meshed with the perspectives and ideas of others.

I love Coldplay. I do not like them just because their music is good, but also because they are real artists. They are involved in the creativity of their music, including videos. Here is one to enjoy.

Anniversary!

Today was Megan and I’s 3rd anniversary! I am just glad that my wife still likes me after living with me for 3 years now. She even said she loves me more now than before……..Yessssssss!

We played it low key this year and watched Lost together. During one of the commercials we opened our cards from each other and…………….well, just watch the vid.
