Excellence: an action or attitude?
Last night I closed up and I was vacuuming the floor. I was running late because I started an activation like 10 minutes before close. As I was vacuuming one of the managers said, “don’t worry about vacuuming under those, the customer won’t see it.”
My first thought was, “they may not see it, but they will feel it.” I believe that excellence is not an action, it is an attitude. An attitude is not tangible. You cannot touch it, smell it, or see it, but you can feel it. You know when someone is acting nice when they are talking to you, but you know they don’t feel that way? You feel something that is not tangible. It’s the attitude behind what you see, hear, touch, taste or smell.
In your workplace or home, are you excellent? Or are you just taking care of what the “customer” sees? I challenge our community of aubreysanchez DOT com to take care of everything with excellence in marriage, work, parenting, relationship with God. If we do, you and others will intangibly (and eventually tangibly) feel the difference!
