Fathers and Children (Part 1)
Last night I saw the movie “The Kingdom.” What an amazing movie. It was very graphic and had some cussing, but it was so real. Islam is an extreme concern for our nation and our world. If you read my post The Church (Part 1), I talked about it a little more.
There was a part at the end when it shows this high-ranking Muslim, who had just been shot and is dying, telling someone else not to worry, they are going to kill them all . He was passing on his legacy. The Muslim was an old man passing it on to his grandson, who was about 10.
The Muslims believe in raising up sons. They do not just train people to be violent terrorists. They raise up people to be in politics, Hollywood and other major institutions of culture. They start training them when they are little kids like 7 years old. When that grandpa whispered into that little kids ear in the movie, the little kid knew exactly what he was supposed to do. He was already in training for years. The grandpa left his legacy for the future.
There was another scene when the non-Muslim was passing on his legacy. He whispered the exact same words the Muslim told the young boy. Except, he was telling another person his age. All his energy and training was given to others his age. What happens when they die? Will there cause live on?
Malachi 6:9
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
I do not agree with the violence and hatred of the Muslim agenda, but there strategies are genius and even Biblical. Their mission is to make the whole world a Islamic state. Sounds a little like the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19.
Islam is rapidly growing and gets stronger with every generation. Yet Christianity and the church is weakening with every generation. Are the scenes in that movie a true picture of fatherhood in the church and Islam? Are we focusing on the future or present or even sometimes the past?
Just for the record. I am not condoning Islam. I just think that their strategy of carrying out their mission is very well-planned and they have the patience to stick with it. I believe that is why 25,000 Americans are now converting to Islam every year.
