I’ve been reading alot about the perception of Christianity through the eyes of non-Christians. I will preface this discussion with this:

The Bible says that the world will hate us because we are followers of Jesus…..There is only so much I can do as a Christian to be accepted in the eyes of someone who believes different than I do. I can never say that there are other ways than Jesus to heaven. That may upset an atheist, but that is what I have accepted by faith.

With that said, I do think that there is a legit perception about Christianity that has really caught my interest. I have read and heard many non-Christians say that the church (or followers of Christ) are not doing the things that Jesus did. In other words, they are not following Christ.

When I look at the modern day church and I look at the life of Jesus, I do see a legitimate backing behind that statement. At least I think I do. So, I am going to read through the gospels over and over and find exactly what it is that Jesus did while He was on earth. As followers of Christ, we should do what He did. What did He do? and is the church doing that or its own thing?
