Date Night

Like every Thursday night, tonight was my wife and I’s date night. We had a blast. We decided to kick it at the shops at Legacy tonight. My wife loves Chinese food and I don’t, but being the great husband I am, we ate chinese. A place called the Rice Boxx. That’s right, the Rice Boxx. After I ate my rice, that pretty much tasted like a box, the name started to make sense to me.

Anyways, we were sitting there eating and my wife asks me a question. She says, “If you could change any part of my body what would it be?” My response was, “Are you kidding me, I’m not answering that, that’s suicide.” You married guys understand. Then she promised that she would never hold it against me. Don’t believe them when they promise that. I never answered the question.

We like to sing in the car. On the way home, for some random reason we sang Jesus loves the little children. Then we got to the part that goes, “red and yellow, black and white; they are precious in His sight.” And it hit me, apparently there were not any mexicans around the guy who wrote this song. There is no brown. Half of me is offended.
