Personal vs Professional (part 2)

If I’m hired to be a janitor then I better know how to clean better than anybody whether I like it or not. Too many times in ministry, we allow our personal preferences to dictate how we do our job. No matter what we were hired for. If I was hired to be a janitor and I spent all day typing because that’s what I liked to do, I would be fired.
Lets take it a step further. If I was hired to be a janitor, but thought certain things didn’t need to be cleaned that were in my job description, I would be fired. Many times in ministry we are the janitors who want to do it our way instead of how we’re hired to do it.
