A lesson from A Bug’s Life

I think alot of non-profit organizations cater to their heavy hitters. For instance, in churches. If the people with money do not like something, you don’t do it anymore, even if alot of other people may like it. I’m not saying tick everyone off, but a thought came to my mind.

In a bug’s life, the ants were strong because there were alot of them. The grasshoppers were much bigger or “heavier”, but the quantity of the ants eventually won the battle.

I wonder if this principle could apply financially in churches or other non-profit organizations? Would it be better to build an organization on alot of “less heavy” givers or on a few “heavy” givers?

Let me know what you think………..

OR could you have an organization of “less heavy” givers, hire some circus givers to come help and convince people that they are really warrior givers in order to defeat the “heavy” givers? yeah..thats right, i have a bugs life on dvd and im not afraid to reference it
