Proverbs 20
Alot of you know I am on an awesome journey through Proverbs and posting cool stuff, but it is taking to much time to post everything. I also think it would be much more effective if I picked one verse and meditated on that verse all day. There is so much in one chapter and it is hard to blog it all, everyday. I also am probably not going to put up that verse on the blog everyday. I’m still on the journey, but it’s hard to share all of it on a blog and actually get work done.
Today’s verse: 18
Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.
I think we see this verse ignored alot. Not only on a personal level, but also in the church community. I have learned (I hope), that no matter what it is, there is always someone that is better at it than I am. Why re-invent the wheel? If someone is better, learn what you can from their expertise and apply that knowledge to your situation. It’s dangerous to rely solely on what I know and expect to go to another level. It is usually quite a let down. So, whether it is a nursery handbook, small group campaign, assimilation process, music, sound, whatever. Study someone who knows more than you and is doing it on a higher level than you.
