Proverbs 11

I saw a few things in this chapter that raise some interesting quesitons:
For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.
I feel that this is an issue that the church has struggled with for a long time. We like to do things on our own without consulting expert advice. Obviously God is the ultimate adviser, but sometimes we use that as a cop out. Does God sometimes put skilled, professional people around us to also give us wise advice?
People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessings crown him who is willing to sell.
The tail end of this verse really caught my eye, willing to sell. Most of the time we automatically think that we are supposed to give it away if we have enough. I do believe we are to share (even in giving away things), but I think this is the business man in Solomon. He understood that loving people does not mean getting walked on. It doesn’t say blessings crown him who gives everything away and in turn can’t pay his bills. Could the church have a business side to it?
